For this Project we did some 3d drawings to help the Client visualize the impact of an L shape dormer on the roof and a Kitchen/ side infill extension at Ground Floor level.

The Existing house is a Victorian period mid terrace.  The existing living room is located at the front of the house and a dining room to the rear, separated by a wall. The long kitchen is positioned within the L shape part of the house at the rear.  The house is quite narrow and the separation of the rooms with walls and doors does not maximise the use of the floor space. As such it is proposed to remove the wall and join up the rooms which with the rear infill extension creates an open plan.  The rooms become zones and the visual connection through the house tranforms it into a modern space efficient interior where the children can be seen by their parents whilst they cook or relax in the kitchen.
